About
Experienced Educator and Consultant
Strong instruction doesn’t happen by accident…it’s intentionally designed.
I’ve spent more than 20 years helping students become stronger readers, writers, and thinkers across diverse educational settings, including public schools, private schools, Montessori programs, and alternative learning environments. My work has always centered on a simple belief: meaningful learning should strengthen student thinking, not replace it.
As an educator, curriculum leader, and consultant, I partner with schools and educational organizations to design rigorous, engaging learning experiences that improve student outcomes and support teacher success. My expertise spans ELA curriculum development, writing instruction, assessment design, instructional strategy, and professional learning, with a growing focus on helping educators navigate the ethical integration of artificial intelligence in ways that preserve student autonomy, academic rigor, and authentic learning.
In an era of rapid technological change, schools face an important challenge: how to embrace innovation without compromising the thinking, creativity, and authorship we want students to develop. My approach to AI integration is grounded in pedagogy first. Technology should serve as a support for learning, not a substitute for intellectual effort, critical thinking, or student voice.
My academic work reflects that commitment. As a doctoral candidate in Curriculum & Instruction, my research explores the intersection of generative AI, cognitive learning theory, and human-centered instructional design, with a particular focus on secondary ELA education. That lens informs every recommendation I make: practical, thoughtful, and rooted in what actually supports learning.
